Long gone are the days when more democracy within the workplace was clamored for. Today, the nexus between work and freedom is claimed mainly by defenders of the free market; while, on the other side of the ideological barricade, work ends up being thought of as a dehumanizing activity, from which to be freed through unconditional forms of income. But should we really give up being more demanding of the activity that occupies so much of our lives? A dialogue on the challenge of combining ecological transition, demercification of labor and democratization of places of production.
