Isabelle Ferreras, Chair of the International Committee of High-Level Experts on Democracy at Work, will frame the discussion with Jeremias Adams-Prassl at the parliamentary day “AI: Worker Voice as Critical Internal Condition. From Code to Boardroom,” hosted by Baroness Beeban Kidron in the House of Lords on November 20, 2026.

Convened by the Institute for Ethics in AI at the University of Oxford and the Center for Labor and a Just Economy at Harvard Law School, the event brings together policymakers, frontier AI tech workers, organised labour leaders and scholars to discuss actionable policy pathways.

Its starting point: AI “alignment” is not only an engineering puzzle but an institutional challenge, as frontier systems mirror the priorities of the concentrated capital that finances and directs them. Rather than accepting exit as the default when workers resign from frontier labs, the event calls for worker voice, so that the knowledge of those who build AI can steer ethical development and safety inside those labs.

The conference is invitation-only and held under the Chatham House Rule. Invitation requests are open until November 6 here.
